Want a ride? Hop on to the chariot, Valencia, Spain! Yee haww!

Valencia chariot at Cathedral

I have never get on a chariot before but I sure will the next time I get a chance to do so. The reason that I haven’t get on one yet is because (this may sound silly to you but to me that is the reason)…. because I am the Walt Disney generation that the idea of chariot is always related to the Prince and Princess… so, getting on a chariot with my guy friends just doesn’t fit very well in my imagination! Awkward!

So until then…
My concern is… do they have chariot in Portugal? Oh wait, how about Tuk Tuk instead!

A Glimpse into the Future at Valencia, Spain.

Share

Valencia Science Center Oasis

Honestly, I wouldn’t imagine myself being in such a futuristic (section of the) city, Valencia, Spain. It was so surreal!!! I wonder if this, a very green like environment + a dorm like architecture for shelter, would be the direction that our civilization is heading towards? Or is it already too late for Earth? Okay then, let’s take this and make it happen on Mar, Venus and Moon! Or somewhere closer… DUBAI! It seems that everything impossible is made possible in Dubai with its seemingly unlimited supply of resources and investors!

Valencia… an amazing city!!! (I just can’t find any more adjectives to describe the city!) Simply, amazing!

This week… in search of Santa Cruz Church, the very first Portuguese church in Bangkok.

Share

Valencia Cathedral Seat

No, this is not the Santa Cruz church in Bangkok. Instead this is the Valencia Cathedral in Valencia, Spain.

The plan for this weekend is to find the aforementioned Santa Cruz church, the very first Portuguese church in Bangkok. Hopefully they will allow photographing inside the church so that I get to share the moment with you. It’s a way for me to get to know the history and culture of Portugal as much as I can before actually moving there!

Practice makes perfect! The amazing facade of the Saint Mary of Valencia Cathedral.

Valencia Saint Mary Cathedral

It has been a while since the last time that I went to church. Another Sunday passed by and I am yet to find a church to attend regularly. In place of going to church, I spent most of my Sunday in, what I would like to call “pastry lab”. A pastry lab indeed, because no matter how many times I repeat the recipe… I can never produce the same pastry!

That is why… Practice makes perfect. Let the facade be the example of hard work and years full of practice to make the perfect facade for the Saint Mary of Valencia Cathedral.

Never give up at what you do!

“HE” exists! Proof? The Holy Grail (Santo Caliz) in the Cathedral of Valencia, Spain is the answer

Share

Valencia Holy Grail Hidden in the Cathedral

Some people need proof or evidence of something to proof the existence of something or someone so that they can start to believe.
Some people need reasons to believe.

Some people, don’t need proof, evidence nor reason to believe.
Because… we simply CHOOSE TO BELIEVE

Ascending hundreds flight of stairs in Valencia, Spain

Share

Valencia Ascending

The good thing was that the stairs was closed to public that day. Other wise I may have tried to climb all those flights of stairs, but I would be worried that if I were to trip and to fall down all those flights… wouldn’t be a good experience, but sure would be FUNNY! This reminded me of a temple that we have in Northern Thailand! I can’t seem to recall the name of the temple. But I believe that I will get a chance to visit the temple sometime in the near future!

Short and Brief!!! It’s a long way up but we are going to walk up there together and when we look back… we will be amazed at how we are to be able to walk that far! ^_^

A flying car would make this picture… complete! at Valencia, Spain.

Share

Valencia Garden

This was taken in Valencia, Spain at the Museum of Art and Science center, where everything doesn’t look as if it is from its “time”. Is this how all futuristic cities would look like? AWESOME! Just keep walking at the center and be amazed by the architecture, the space and the environment. The most interesting part of this is that everything were built on a dry river bed. The landscape design that turns a dead space into a dynamic and lively space with activities from the city center to the port.

The only thing that is missing from this picture is… flying cars!

the ROAD to take… the view of City Center, Valencia, Spain

Share

Valencia City Center 1

“Two things I learned in life, kid: find someone to love and live everyday as though it were your last.– Joe.” Alfie 2004.

And to live everyday as it though it were your last, sometimes we must put ourselves in the position where there is no turning back, just keep going forward. And to never regret any moments in life.

This is the view of City Center, Valencia, Spain. What a fun, risky, crazy, spot to take the photo, yet…it was worth it.

One more exam to go, One more week to the graduation… and One more question to be answered.

The Eye of Valencia, Spain

Share

Valencia Eye IMAX

Not sleeping for 2 days along with coffee after coffee… resulted in dizziness and squinty eye while walking around the campus. The good news is… I finished with 3 exams… just 4 more to go! And because of not sleeping, I feel as if my eyes are going to explode and that lead me to this picture today. The amazing EYE of Valencia, Spain. Okay… my head is still spinning while typing.

Back to reality… STUDY time! 2 exams tomorrow, one of them is exactly 12 hours from now. Must study!

Rose petal alley. What a great idea!!! Turning a scary alley into romantic, sweet and cozy dining for 2. At Valencia, Spain

Share

Valencia Rose Pedal Road

It is amazing to travel from place to place and to see restaurant ideas and themes everywhere. As much as I want to open a restaurant myself, at this point, I know that I can design one… but to manage it is something that I am working on to learn more about, hence I am studying at Les Roches Marbella to understand how to operate and manage a restaurant, or to manage a hotel.

This alley in City Center of Valencia, Spain has inspired me of what little we can do to simply turn an alley of “no way I am going to walk in there” to “Oh wow! let’s go eat there” by simply using ROSE PETALS. It is amazing how solution can be so simple that we normally look over it.

Unfortunately, we didn’t eat at that restaurant. Instead we went to eat at an Italian restaurant next to it. Great night, great trip and a great time!

All we need is just a little break, a little moment and a little peace of mind… no worry and no responsiblity but to sit somewhere and just enjoy that moment. @Valencia, Spain

Valencia Bench at the park

Work work work, study study study, read read read, work some more, study some more, read some more… just never gonna stop! Sleeping is outrageous! But no, I am not a workaholic, not to that extent anyway. There were times where all I would do is work, obsessed with work to the extent that I have forgotten how wonderful life could be. And to be able enjoy that, is to simple step back a little, look around you and just enjoy the moment.

We all know that there is no such thing as “perfect balance” and as much as I try to balance my activities and academics just to have the right motivation to work and enjoy working, it is quiet exhausted to keep up with everything.

All we need is just a little break, a little moment and a little peace of mind… no worries and no responsibility but to just sit somewhere and just enjoy the moment.

This picture reminded me of another post

P.S. I Love You

/4 LFM SM CATH healer GTG! Remember the SM Cathedral, World of Warcraft? I think it would look something like this in the real world. What do you think?

Share

Valencia CathNow… after having not touched WoW, world of warcraft for more than half a year… I miss playing it. The things I miss the most is the feeling while playing the game. I imagined myself as that tiny little character in the game, running around in that huge castle, cathedral, cave, and so on. I had never imagined myself being present in one of those location in the game, until… today after I processed this picture a few times. First time… no, 2nd time… I don’t know what’s wrong with it and 3rd time… is the result that you see. It remind me so much of that SM Cath (aka: Scarlet Monastery: Cathedral) that I have been to countless times while I was playing the game.

The only thing that missing from that day I took picture is…. the armor that I’d need to wear to tank with all the mobs inside :D

Okay… Let’s go Vivos!

Valencia Tunnel

This is the real thing in Valencia, Spain.  El Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe (the Museum of Sciences), which was designed by Santiago Calatrava, that’s my man!!!

Just when we arrived at the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias or City of Arts and Sciences and started taking pictures, it started to rain and we were looking for a place to hide and just following the people around which lead us into this underground tunnel like. The tunnel lead to the L’HemisfèricImax Cinema, Planetarium and Laserium (also designed by Santiago Calatrava). Unfortunately we don’t have much time there so… no Imax. But on the way out… I saw this view and just WOAH!!! I didn’t feel like I was on the planet Earth anymore. It was amazing feeling, amazing view, amazing weather, amazing architecture…

amazing… EVERYTHING!

Thanks to my passion, I got to post this picture today which reminded me of that AMAZING “EVERYTHING” experience! Let see where will my passion lead me to.

Oh… Aude is in the picture too! Okay okay I’m coming, let me get this one picture… Merci

the crowd gathered up, the city noise increased, the anticipation rose, and I… was just waiting patiently for the moment.

Share

Valencia crossing

Ready??? Set…… Go!!!! The dynamic feeling of that 20 seconds was well worth the 10 minutes of waiting. There are times that we are just waiting and waiting for something to happen. The time it take for us to wait, that moment is such an annoying feeling especially when we don’t know about when is the wait going to be over. Unlike crossing a street, because we can then anticipate that eventually the light will turn green for us to cross.

Oh no, I am not saying that not knowing when something is going to happen is a bad thing. However, it could be bad when we set such high expectations for what we are looking for. On the other hand, if we just wait patiently, adapt and improvise with whatever happens with no expectations, no judgement, no pre-assumptions and no fear…

then… happiness will present itself at the least expected moment.

I prayed… Sunday morning at Cathedral of Valencia

Share

Valencia Cathedral

Sunday morning, we spent a few hours around the city center just to grab some quick breakfast before we departed Valencia. We spent sometime in the Cathedral. It was just so amazing in its detail and its architecture that it stunned me and still, I am stunned to even look at my own picture, not believing that I was there, just 12 hours ago.

Life, it passes by so fast. Either we hang on to it, enjoy it, embrace every moment, or… we may end lose that chance – forever.

Real (fill in the blank) got curves. Ain’t she a beauty? @ Valencia, Spain

Share

Valencia Curve

I meant… real “architecture” got curves, along with many other things.

after a 5 hour trip from Granada and an hour of rest, we finally went to the art and science district where all I kept saying was “holy !@#$” over and over… so much that my friend got annoyed. But the architecture here was just amazing. I felt like I was living in a totally different planet / world or even time. I felt more of futuristic vibe like the movie “Minority Report” We spent about 2 hours there but I spent about 8GB of the SD card (again), shooting everything every 10 seconds. Well, I don’t know when I will get to come back here to visit again, so for now… I’ll just do my best to keep all the angles, all the points, and all of the memories as best I can while I was still at it

I hope that you enjoy the picture today, from Valencia, Spain.
