Floating in the Heart of… Bangkok
Humm… Friends are going to Bangkok this summer!!! And that just reminded me of how much more “interesting” it is to live in Bangkok. The picture I chose today was taken in July 2008 during a boat trip on the Chao Praya River, the mother of all rivers in Thailand. After more than 16 years living in Bangkok, this is my first time taking the Long Boat, a 4 hour trip, to explore the heart of the river. There must have been more than 20 luxury hotels along the river and all of them are my potential job opportunities.
I can’t speak for others but for me, money isn’t the inspiration for me to do what I do… it is the heart that guides me back to Bangkok. After a decade in Los Angeles, I have seen what money can buy… certainly it can’t buy TRUE happiness which is the happiness in your heart. Many people question my decision in going back to Bangkok, why not the States or any other country. In my opinion is that, I would like to explore, truly live and experience, my native culture before I took another step further anywhere else.
I don’t really know how to explain in my own words, but what I am trying to say is… Before one seek the wisdom of the cosmos, one must know oneself; -Delphi.
